Aztec Airways was born from one pilot’s vision and a lifetime spent in the skies.
In 1998, with a single twin-engine Piper Aztec and an unshakable belief that better travel could transform island life, Stuart Hanley launched what would become Aztec Airways .
Today, under Stuart’s leadership, Aztec Airways operates a diverse fleet of twin-engine passenger and cargo aircraft, serving travelers and communities seven days a week. What began as one pilot’s dream has evolved into a trusted airline — one built on reliability, personal service, and the enduring spirit of adventure that first took flight more than two decades ago.

Our Fleet
The Aztec Airways fleet of twin-engine Piper Chieftain aircraft is built for dependable, comfortable travel across the Bahamas. Each plane seats up to eight passengers and offers a smooth ride, flexible cabin configurations, and exceptional performance on shorter island runways.
